Lord, I come to You tired and hurting. My body does not feel like my own right now, and the waiting is its own kind of pain: waiting for results, waiting for the next appointment, waiting to feel like myself again. You see all of it, even the parts I do not say out loud.
I ask You for healing, Father. Touch this body You made and bring strength where there is weakness. Whatever the days ahead hold, stay close to me. Strengthen me on this bed, and meet me in every hard hour, the ones in the middle of the night most of all.
Thank You for the doctors, nurses and technicians who care for me, for the ones who explain things patiently and the ones who work the night shift. Give them clear minds and steady hands. Give me wisdom as I weigh treatment choices, the courage to ask questions, and peace about the decisions we make together.
Be near to the people who love me and worry about me. Give them rest too. When I am afraid, remind me that I am not alone in this room. My hope is in You, not in a timeline, and I trust You with what I cannot control. In Jesus' name, Amen.
“The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.”
Psalm 41:3 (KJV)
